OUCH!! I had a bruise like that on my thumb from a "George Foreman" grill, the large one, falling closed on it while cleaning. It took a few weeks but I eventually lost the whole nail piece by piece. It grew back fine, can't even tell which thumb it was now. How does his nail look now? -Kaz
